Tab Trade — The Short Version
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, that range is solid.
The Software
You get: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Many people find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is available for algo traders but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That would round things out when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not something typical accounts. Skip it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, it does. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package makes sense. Hardly anyone at this price point have infrastructure at this level.
The FSRA Question
Here is the detail that matters. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for Equinix connectivity. None of this make it safe. It does factor into how you think about it.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
TabTrade offers bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Typical deposit match. You fund your account, TabTrade top up your balance. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before funding.
